Poem analyzing : One God

This essay is about a poem named ‘One God’ by Nigel S. Daring, a Jamaican man. This poem talks about God, an important concept that gives to all the world the beautiful life that we have. The worship to God is important no matter how is our relation with religion and God, so be ungodly can hurt me and some others. Daring uses a literary title with the intention of let us know that people of this life give God different names and religions but in the end, God is only one. Some examples that the author uses is the names of some gods, a really point of this poem. If everyone believes in the same God, creator of everything that we have, then the only difference is the name. Why do you find so many different religions, if its the same God? and, Why is there so many Religious afflictions between people?

First we can imagine how many religions this world have. The culture can be a critical change in the style and type of religion and god that a place or a country have. Some of this with same and different aspects in which we can include the ideology and the use of a church. As example comparing some religions: first, the Christians, so they believe in Immaculate Conception, the existence of the Devil, and the coming of the apocalypse; and second, Allah’s follower, believe in angels, in the holy books of Islam, in the prophets and Muhammad as the final prophet, in the Day of Judgment, and in predestination decided by Allah. All the people have faith on his hearts so it can be the basic line to continue seeking god. It doesn’t matter how many religions we have in the world, we should have a meaning of faith and of hope in the only and same God that mention the poet for the salvation of each human soul.

Second, many people have problems talking about religious affliction that is any belief system that is religious and also causes harm , as example of the poem in the second paragraph says; “Don't be confused by politics, gimmicks and tricks that put us in conflict”. This verse of the poem was used by the author to influence good points of life and give to the lectors that vision of positivism and don't have bad things in respect to our family world. Many religions teach to the ones that they belong to be brothers, but they having different ideas, sometimes give bad comments to another religious groups and want to have problems with its other, so much of them have hypocritical attitude. How do you feel?, when as example, see on a internet page, named ‘economist.com’ that its talk about this theme “faith and politics the new war of religion”, this can be named religious fanaticism. Daring use this sentence on his poem “Your God is my God and my God is your God” because It wants that the people be a good persons and share good things to have a better world with the same God.

Finally I have considerate that this poetry can be one of the better poems that I have read, having in it a very good theme about God and how the human can have positive thoughts with respect to our creator. This author is from Rasta origins, so many of this people have been discriminated by some other people, the best example that you can see the knowledge and the way this man thinks for the union of the world. I have catholic belief and I know that my religion have been make some discriminations about other religious groups but I really think that we have an only creator an only God.

My song interpretation :

Reggae's origins are in traditional African and Caribbean Music. Reggae is always played in 4/4 time or swing time because the symmetrical rhythm pattern does not lend itself to other time signatures such as 3/4 time. This song have four paragraph where everyone have rhyme patterns . "Reggae music is a good slow rhythm of hot blood, that takes possession of you".

This song is about a man that want to give all of his love for ever to a woman. As a good man he want to have a house and have a good family, giving all the thanks to their Rasta God "Jah".
But the really problem is that the man don't know the real definition of feel love having it. Very good point is that the man of this song are very positive and are going to found all that he want.

Essay # 2

Sad Love

Many stories written in other years have sense with today’s events. This is the case of the stories “Happy Endings’ by Margaret Atwood and “The story of an Hour” by Kate Chopin. Both stories are related with the love that the characters have, and how they confront it. The sadness in the couple love was a very interesting theme that this two authors use to write this stories. “Happy Endings” use six different life scenarios plus some concluding remarks that the love ends always in the same way. “The Story of an Hour” is about what goes through a person’s head when informed that a close family member has perished a lost love. Both stories have something in common that are the theme that the authors use, couples in love to explain his thoughts. The attitudes that be carried in a couple always are going to have as a consequence the same end in which one of them are going to have a “sad love” -when in a couple exist lovely problems and even they can‘t match with them.

Basically in Margaret’s story she use many options, demonstrating why the live carries the characters to a same end. Using short tales inside the original story she combine the live of some character named John and Mary, finding a different meaning in each one of these. One example of this story was the scenario A, in which the characters had a happy end. We can imagine the great damage that person can make to another being with her alone only for pleasure and nothing more, so B of the story is an example of this. The author continues showing the bad relations of love and things that the other characters, this because she develops to instruct the readers of the love functions on the live, its finishing happy but not the same with the love. Analyzing one of the couple have to die first or make something badly, so the other are going to have sad love feelings as part of the human life.

Similarly, Kate Chopin use a woman called Mrs. Mallard with one only option about a notice that she receive about his husband. We can see the irony of this history looking the emotions that the woman have , when know this about the “only man” that she had. Why the quotations marks, this because in the story say this ; “And yet she had loved him--sometimes”, an evidence that she don’t love him always. This form as she think can be about other personal problems that they have before the false notice give to she about his dead husband. She dies in the end upon seeing that his husband was alive, by the reason that she think from other point of view, she was free. Now we can analyze that at the end, one of the couple are going to be alone and feeling sad love.

Finally, these two histories have so much in common speaking especially of sad love. The two authors utilize couples that have been influenced by the acts of their life. The characters are distinguished by the desire of have a happy end, but always something broke all of their wishes. Some examples are when the man of the Happy Ending story want to have only sex, and not affection of love to she , and in the second history the woman named Mrs. Mallard was the one that supposedly has failed in the story. The love include Emotions, Ethics and Joys, so we have to be prepared to have this experiences in one moment of our life.

Essay # 1 : Iago Ego

This essay is about of one history of the writer Shakespeare named Othello, one of his more well known literary play. He use actors with very different mode of think and act. The most important characters that have influence on this history were Othello the general army, who is confused and revengeful moor arising from Venice, Iago general right hand, that was the sly and cunning villain with no feeling in his heart that can be named the meaning of the deceit and the vengeance, Cassio the normal but naive Lieutenant who had what somebody else wanted and Desdemona the Othello's wife. Everyone of the story consider Iago as honest, but they really don’t know about his evil plan. All of this because Othello his friend and general give the position of Lieutenant to another soldier named Cassio, so Iago think finalize their friendship. He vengeance using his intelligent mind no matter what effect and manipulating other people. Iago ego made him to feel superior over the other ones and obtain all that he wants.

The first attack that Iago use was telling all to Roderigo his friend. All begins when Iago was talking with Roderigo that Othello gives Lieutenant position to Cassio and that he has affairs with Desdemona. Roderigo was a suitor of Desdemona, so he don’t like this. Iago feel to be cross with his general Othello so he star in vengeance with him because he always was his right man and war companion. He use Roderigo as guinea pig to help him in his complot. They decide to tell to Desdemona’s father name Brabantio about Othello and his daughter. Brabantio have bothered with Othello so with this Iago begins the vengeance . Iago is an example of a very rancorous man , that want all he wants, he can not accept Othello’s decision.
The story is amazing when Iago can convince Othello that his wife was unfaithful with Cassio. Iago feels that the only way to destroy Othello completely is destroying the relationship between him and his wife and the friendship between Cassio and Othello.

Iago begins to say coments about Cassio and Desdemona . An example is when Iago says to Othello to make suspect that they are having an affair “Look to your wife ; observe her with Cassio…” but the problem was that he don’t beliveit and want a proof. Iago fixed it saying to his wife Emilia that was a maid, that obtain a handkerchief that Othello give to Desdemona. Iago give it to Cassio and say that he can give it to a girl friend that he has.
Later for this Othello see Cassio with the handkerchief , so this was the thing that sparked the situation between Othello and Desdemona. Iago’s insanity can made all that he want with Othello.

In the end Iago lies catch up with him and Othello kills Desdemona, and Othello kills himself, so Iago’s ego cause harm people physically. We can see that Iago controlled by his mind and always thinking to be the best make all of this tragedy in Othello and other characters of the story. If someone reader don’t think this, you have to read again the story.

Shakespears: Othello

I had never read Shakespeare before and I now already have the experience that is well interesting love and tragedy story. The principal character of this story was a moor called Othello. It is a good man that originates from Venice that is a city in northern Italy . In the story he was a general of the army. As a good man Othello bring confidence to a man called Iago. This man that was the real meaning of deceit and manipulate him. A problems is that he was an honest man, and believes in Iago. He was very lovely with Desdemona. Thanks to Iago Othello thinks that Desdemona , his love and wife , was unfaithful with a man named Cassio that was Othello's choice for his new Lieutenant. Othello kills Desdemona, but Iago was the responsible. This old history has a relation with many aspects that occur today , so in real live we have some people as these personages.

Essay : My English !

Something logical in my English live is that the first class was in first grade. At the beginning, of my English first class, the teacher teach about vocals and numbers something that we really use every day. The schools have different styles to teach their English classes. In public school some teachers are not prepared to bring the best class to the students. Contrary to private school, teachers give all their help and charisma so the students can learn more easy and quickly. This is a good comparison about this two schools that all the students go. When I was in junior school, both my English teachers were pregnant, so I didn't' receive the proper teaching. All the problems resulting ever since could be accounted to this experience.

The current use of the English language is in all the word. Today we can see many examples of some that have in one or other way English. When I wake up at the morning some notice in the television are in English . Later I go to the university and some books are in English so this are some examples of English in a common day. The English that I am taking on the university is very different to the elementary and secondary school, not comparing the difficult of it, comparing the way as the professors give the class. Be concentrated on mys English curse are going to have influence in my knowledge that I'm going to have in the future and obtaining good grades in the University of Mayaguez named "Colegio " .

My future are going to depend of today's interest. If a want to have a good job I have to study more than a bachelor. The English is already necessary in all works so I have to defend myself and do the best of me. Finally always be positive and say " if I want I can ".
